Russian occupiers have been relentlessly attempting to establish new pontoon crossings over the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region. Their objective is to push additional forces onto the western bank of the river. Despite their persistent efforts, Ukrainian Defence Forces have been successfully destroying these crossings, impeding the Russian advance.
Viktor Tregubov, the spokesman for the operational-strategic group of troops “Khortytsia,” provided details on the situation during a recent telethon. He explained that although the Ukrainian forces have consistently destroyed the enemy’s crossing vehicles, the Russians continue to try to rebuild their crossings and reinforce their positions. Tregubov stressed that the Kremlin’s goal is clear: to send as many forces as possible to the western bank of the Oskil River.
The conflict around the river has become a significant point of contention in the Kharkiv region, with Russian forces making repeated attempts to bridge the gap, despite their failures. Tregubov’s remarks shed light on the ongoing battle of attrition, where Ukrainian forces remain vigilant in preventing further Russian advancements in the region.
In addition to these efforts, Oles Malyarevich, the Deputy Commander of the 429th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems “Achilles,” provided an update on the situation near Dvorichna. He reported that the area had been successfully de-occupied by the Defence Forces. While these operations were relatively small in scale, they were of considerable importance in disrupting Russian plans for further territorial expansion in the region.
