Russian forces launched more than 4,000 attacks on nine settlements in Donetsk region within the past 24 hours, severely damaging civilian infrastructure. Among the targets were residential buildings, hospitals, and a perinatal center in Pokrovsk. The relentless shelling resulted in the destruction of a hospital and significant damage to a perinatal center in the region, with three civilians left injured.
The regional police department and the Pokrovsk Municipal Administration (MVA) confirmed that 61 civilian objects were damaged across the region, including 41 residential buildings. The affected settlements included the cities of Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, as well as the villages of Droysheve, Ivanopillia, Katerynivka, Serhiivka, Starodubivka, and Stinky.
Pokrovsk was hit particularly hard, enduring eight attacks from Russian forces. The strikes included the use of FAB-250 bombs, Smerch MLRS rockets, drones, and artillery, leaving significant destruction in its wake. Two civilians were wounded in the attacks, and several buildings were damaged. Among the affected properties were seven apartment buildings, two hospitals, a church, and a civilian truck.
The hospital in Pokrovsk was completely destroyed, while several other structures, including a religious building, a psychoneurological boarding school, and the perinatal center, were damaged. No casualties have been reported from these other facilities.
Further damage was recorded in other areas. In Katerynivka, one person was injured and three private houses were damaged. In Drobysheve, FAB-250 bombs caused damage to four private houses, while 10 households in Starodubivka were also affected by these bombs. Kostyantynivka was targeted with artillery, damaging residential buildings, an administrative building, and a bus station, alongside multiple other objects including cars, a gas pipeline, and power lines.
In Serhiivka, a 500-kg bomb dropped by Russian forces caused significant damage to two private houses and an infrastructure facility. Additionally, reports confirmed the deaths of two civilians in Siversk as a result of previous Russian shelling on January 30.
The damage inflicted on Donetsk region highlights the ongoing devastation caused by Russia’s military aggression, which continues to target civilian infrastructure with impunity, further worsening the suffering of local populations.
