The Ukrainian government has allocated over 3.3 billion UAH for the “Winter Support” programme to assist citizens who applied through the Diia app between December 12 and January 14. According to the Ministry of Economy, the new payment will reach over 3.3 million individuals.
The funds will be disbursed between January 17 and 19, with a focus on those who submitted their applications during the specified period. Of those eligible, nearly 700,000 will receive payments for children. This marks the continuation of the programme, which has already helped millions of Ukrainians.
As of January 17, the total number of applicants to the “Diia” app, banks, and Ukrposhta has surpassed 12 million. With these latest payments, over 9.7 million people who applied through “Diia” will receive 1,000 UAH in state support, including 2.4 million payments for children. In addition, 1.2 million people have already received aid through Ukrposhta.
The Ministry of Economy also clarified that Ukrainians can still apply for the “Winter Support” programme until the end of February 2025, through “Diia,” participating bank branches, or Ukrposhta.
On January 13, 2025, the government had directed an additional 5 billion UAH from the state budget’s reserve fund to further support the “Winter Support” programme.
