Large-Scale Drone Attack: Russian UAVs Spotted Across Ukraine
In the early hours of January 18, 2025, multiple enemy attack drones were detected in Ukrainian airspace across eight different regions. Reports from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirm drone movements in Sumy, Poltava, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Zhytomyr regions, indicating a large-scale aerial assault.
Eyewitness accounts and radar tracking identified drones heading in various directions. In Sumy and Poltava regions, UAVs were seen moving west and northwest. In Poltava’s northwest, drones were oriented towards the west and southwest. Near the Odesa-Mykolaiv border, UAVs were spotted heading westward. Similar westward movement was observed in Kirovohrad, with one drone flying north. In Mykolaiv’s eastern area, a northwest-bound drone was detected. In Kyiv’s western region, an enemy UAV moved south and southwest. Kharkiv saw drone activity from the northwest, while Zhytomyr also reported an enemy aerial presence.
The Ukrainian Air Force has urged civilians to take immediate precautions, remain in shelters during air raid alerts, and heed all emergency warnings.
