Azov Fighters Destroy Russian Positions in Precise Strike
Ukrainian defenders have successfully destroyed Russian positions near Pokrovsk in a coordinated military operation. The mission, codenamed “Earthquake”, was carried out by the 6th Battalion of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” of the National Guard of Ukraine. According to reports, the operation was completed without any Ukrainian casualties, and all soldiers returned safely.
The operation involved multiple planned explosions targeting Russian positions that had been used as shelters for personnel and launching attacks on Ukrainian defence forces. The Ukrainian fighters executed a fire raid to eliminate these enemy positions, a move described as essential for maintaining effective defence and securing further advances on the battlefield.
The commander of the unit involved in the operation, identified by the call sign “Deputy”, explained that meticulous planning was crucial before carrying out the raid. Technical equipment had to be checked multiple times, while manoeuvres and exit routes were carefully defined.
The soldiers of the 6th Battalion carried equipment weighing approximately twenty kilograms while moving through an open area, where difficult weather conditions further complicated their ability to remain concealed. Despite these challenges, the fighters successfully planted explosives and completed their objective with precision.
Azov forces later released a video showcasing the planning, execution, and outcome of the Earthquake operation, providing a rare insight into the level of preparation and expertise involved in such missions.
Ukrainian military leadership remains focused on stabilising key positions along the frontline. Chief Commander Syrskyi recently confirmed that the situation in the Pokrovsk direction has been stabilised and that operations in the Kursk region continue. Russian forces are also believed to be preparing further actions in the Sumy region, while Ukrainian forces advance with strategic countermeasures.
