The EU has approved €52 million in grants to modernise Ukraine’s transport infrastructure. This funding will bolster the country’s railway system, improve border checkpoints, and enhance river and air navigation systems, marking a decisive step towards aligning with the European Union’s transport network.
A Historic Leap Towards European Integration
Magda Kopchynska, Director General of the European Commission’s Directorate for Transport and Mobility, announced the approval during the International Transport Forum in Kyiv. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba hailed the funding as a “historic moment,” emphasising its significance in Ukraine’s European integration journey.
