Ukrainian Navy Confirms Absence of Russian Ships in Black and Azov Seas

As of August 19, 2024, the Ukrainian Navy has confirmed that there are no Russian warships present in the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov. The update, released by the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, provides a snapshot of the current naval situation in the region.

According to the report, there are no enemy ships operating in either the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov. The only Russian naval presence noted is a single ship located in the Mediterranean Sea, with no Kalibr cruise missile carriers reported in the area.

The Ukrainian Navy’s statement also detailed recent maritime activities, noting that seven Russian vessels passed through the Kerch Strait within the last 24 hours. Of these, six vessels continued their journey towards the Bosphorus Strait, while five vessels entered the Sea of Azov.
