KYIV – The Ministry of Finance has firmly denied rumours that it intends to raise taxes for private entrepreneurs. Claims circulating on social media and anonymous Telegram channels suggesting a tax increase are false and misleading, according to an official statement from the ministry.
Officials clarified that changes to the simplified taxation system will only be considered once certain conditions are met. These conditions include ensuring secure data use and gaining access to detailed financial information on taxpayer transactions. The ministry has stated that such changes will not take place before the year following the successful completion of these measures.
The process will be conducted transparently, with discussions involving the public, business representatives, government institutions, and international partners. Any proposed legislative changes will undergo a thorough review before being submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for approval.
The Ministry of Finance reaffirmed its commitment to an open dialogue with taxpayers. The ministry has pledged to focus on improving the tax system while maintaining cooperation with businesses to ensure fair and sustainable policies.
