JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WSAV) — The Jacksonville Jaguars lost its third game in a row Sunday, falling to the Minnesota Vikings 12-7.
Jacksonville relied heavily on its red zone defense. Despite allowing over 400 total yards to Minnesota’s offense, the Jaguars did not allow a single touchdown.
Jacksonville’s offense under first-time starter Mac Jones scored its only first-quarter touchdown of the season, but the offense fell stagnant shortly afterward and scored zero points in the last three quarters.
Jones finished 14-for-22 for 111 passing yards and two interceptions, Evan Ingram led all receivers with 40 receiving yards on six catches and Travis Etienne Jr. led the way on the ground with 11 carries for 44 yards.
The Jaguars will look to bounce back next Sunday at 1 p.m. against the Detroit Lions.
