Residents evacuating due to water level, Colleton County officials say

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — The Colleton County Fire-Rescue is currently evacuating river residents near Whetstone Crossroads, according to the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Residents have informed Fire-Rescue the water level is higher now than it was after Tropical Storm Debby, the CCSO said.

Please heed the warnings and prepare to leave before it is too late.
