Beam signing ceremony to celebrate the completion of the North Dakota State Laboratory

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The North Dakota State Laboratory is nearing its completion, and a ceremony next Monday will celebrate the placing of its final structural beam.

The goal of the new lab is to preserve the state’s public health and environment for generations to come.

Gov. Doug Burgum will lead the beam signing ceremony on the Capitol grounds on Monday, October 28, and will be joined by Lt. Gov. Tammy Miller, who chairs the North Dakota State Laboratory Steering Committee and the Capitol Grounds Planning Commission. State legislators, cabinet members, and leaders from North Dakota’s Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Environmental Quality (DEQ) will also be in attendance.

The ceremony will be Monday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. at the State Capitol. Parking will be available in the Northeast lot. The ceremony will also be live streamed on the governor’s Facebook page.
