OTTAWA (Reuters) – The leader of Canada’s opposition New Democratic Party, fresh from tearing up a deal to help keep Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in power, said on Thursday an election was now more likely.
Jagmeet Singh made his remarks to reporters in Toronto. Singh pulled his unconditional support for the Liberal government on Wednesday, thereby forcing Trudeau to seek new alliances to stay in office.
